Three years ago, I walked in the door of the school hall to attend choir for the first time. I was not new to the Shire, but had just left my valley home (and relationship) of twenty years, and was fragile, alone, and new to town living.
There was one familiar face. She pulled up a chair for me, and shared her music.
Over the next 2 hours of singing out our hearts, I found I had 20 new friends who cared about me. I was surrounded and held by love. Six weeks later the whole choir came to my new house to “sing me in” filling my home with sound.
